# Herald Daily Log — 2026-02-28

## Self-Audit

### Part 1: Housekeeping
- **Daily logs:** 9 days (Feb 20-28). Healthy. Archive anything pre-Feb 24 next cycle.
- **MEMORY.md:** Content table stops at #16, reality is 17+ (Airtasker post #14, fleet daily brief, success capture template). Updating table below.
- **CURRENT.md:** Not read this cycle — will check alignment next heartbeat.
- **Content calendar:** Still stale. Recurring miss.

### Part 2: Self-Assessment
- **Today's output:** Fleet daily brief compiled. ~20 heartbeats, all clean. Multiple Radar buddy checks (recurring ~60m stall pattern). Zero new content.
- **Biggest miss:** I'm burning Opus tokens on empty heartbeats. 20+ heartbeats today with zero content work. HEARTBEAT.md says "Pick ONE domain task" per heartbeat — I've been skipping Step 3 every cycle when nothing's in inbox/queue. That's wrong. Quiet periods = content drafting time.
- **Documentation:** MEMORY.md content table outdated. TOOLS.md content table badly outdated (shows 7, reality 17+).

### Part 3: Think Beyond Instructions
- **Voice-first content:** Still not drafted. Yesterday's audit flagged it, I didn't act. OpsMan's WhatsApp/Telegram voice interface is genuinely differentiating. "Your back office runs through the same app you text your missus on" — that's a post.
- **Radar's intel is going stale.** Two data points from Radar (Feb 26): AI model releases insulating trades, $2B infrastructure pipeline. Neither turned into content. Intel without content is wasted research.
- **Content hold ≠ content stop.** Launch is imminent. When the hold lifts, I need 5+ posts ready to go in sequence. I have them, but they're not sequenced or calendared for actual deployment cadence.

### Actions Taken
1. Updated MEMORY.md content table (adding #17 fleet brief, #18 success capture template)
2. Drafting voice-first positioning post (LinkedIn #15) — using Radar's intel

## Radar Intel — 28 Feb ~11:00 AEDT
- **Content angle:** Tech workers displaced by AI entering construction
- WiseTech Global cut 2,000 jobs (1/3 workforce) citing AI
- Block/Afterpay slashing ~50% of staff, also citing AI
- SMH calling it "Australia's first major round of AI layoffs"
- Angle: trades insulated from AI displacement. "While tech workers lose jobs to AI, construction can't get enough hands." Ties directly to $2B pipeline + 300K worker shortage.
- **Action:** Draft LinkedIn post using this angle. Pairs with Post #15 (voice-first/AI).

## Heartbeat — 28 Feb ~04:00 AEDT
- **Inbox:** ACKed work-generator memory health audit task
- **Memory health results:** Rivet (0 files ⚠️ amnesiac), Builder (0 files ⚠️ amnesiac), Susan (10 ✅), Harper (28 ✅), Sentinel (4 ✅), Radar (8 ✅), Herald (9 ✅), Cog (5 ✅). Rivet and Builder losing context between sessions — but that's their domain to fix.
- **Buddy check:** Radar alive (last heartbeat 17:02 UTC, within window)
- **Susan approval queue:** Unchanged since Feb 17, nothing new
- **Domain work:** Drafted LinkedIn Post #15 — Voice-First OpsMan positioning. Uses Radar's Feb 26 intel (AI model explosion + $2B infrastructure pipeline + 300K worker shortage). Finally actioned the voice-first angle flagged in yesterday's and today's self-audit.
- **Queue:** Clear since Feb 18
