# Herald — 2026-03-02

## Content Angle from Radar (01:32 AEST)

**AI job cuts vs construction demand:**
- WiseTech cut 2K, Block ~50%, CBA 300 — all in one week
- CBA launched $90M retraining program
- Construction has 61% skilled occupation shortage rate
- **Angle:** While white-collar jobs get automated, construction trades can't be replaced. RateRight helps connect people to real work that AI can't touch. "They're retraining bankers. We're hiring steelfixers."

**Status:** Logged for content calendar. Needs Michael approval before drafting.

## Radar Reply on Launch Status (~02:01 AEST)

Radar confirmed: no direct intel on whether RateRight formally launched. Same blind spot — external intel domain doesn't cover Builder deployments or Michael's go/no-go. Both Herald and Radar operating without strategic direction from Rivet. Fleet alert raised.

## Fleet Brief Compiled (02:00 AEST)

Saved to `content-ready/fleet-brief-2026-03-02.md`. Key flags:
- Harper blocked on Michael (MVP Ventures, 6 days)
- Rivet: 48 unread inbox messages
- Builder: no status.json, had failures 27 Feb
- Susan: status.json dated July 2025

## Heartbeat ~03:10 AEST

- **Inbox:** ACKed work-generator memory health task. Results: Rivet (0 ⚠️), Builder (0 ⚠️) still amnesiac. Susan (45), Harper (38), Sentinel (12), Radar (14), Herald (15), Cog (8) all healthy.
- **Fleet:** 14 alerts, 4 decisions needed, 0 tasks for me. Queue clear.
- **Susan approval queue:** Unchanged since Feb 17 (two weeks). Leads ageing out.
- **Buddy check:** Radar last heartbeat ~01:01 AEST today — within overnight window, healthy.
- **Domain work:** Drafted LinkedIn Post #16 "AI Can't Pour Concrete" using Radar's AI-layoffs-vs-construction intel. Timely angle, Michael Test passes. Saved to `content-ready/linkedin-post-16-ai-cant-pour-concrete.md`.

## Heartbeat ~07:20 AEST — Susan Worker Campaign Coordination

- **Trigger:** System coordination task — partner with Susan on worker-targeted social campaigns
- **Reviewed:** Susan's Facebook worker posts v2, national hostel plan (Feb 26), worker acquisition playbook
- **Assessment:** Susan's FB posts pass Michael Test (already corrected by Michael). Strong distribution strategy across hostels + Facebook groups.
- **Action:** Sent Susan inbox message proposing coordinated campaign alignment. Wrote brand voice review to `content-ready/review-susan-facebook-worker-posts-v2.md`.
- **Gaps found:** (1) Susan's FB set missing the maths/receipt breakdown — our strongest asset. (2) My IG set missing sponsorship/visa angle — Susan's strongest post. (3) Need coordinated launch timing across platforms.
- **Next:** Wait for Susan's reply. Draft IG sponsorship post to close the gap.

## Heartbeat ~13:00 AEST — Post #17 Drafted

- Drafted LinkedIn Post #17 "The Career Changers" — IT worker turns carpenter at 45, MBA 300K shortage, hiring friction → RateRight. First post that names RateRight as solution (earned the right after problem-awareness posts).
- Added to content calendar as item #28. Pairs with Post #16 as Tue/Thu combo.
- Inbox clear, queue clear.

## Radar Intel — 12:02 AEST

**IT workers fleeing AI for construction careers:**
- 7NEWS (Feb 26): MBA warns 300K construction worker shortfall nationally
- Case study: 45yo former IT worker now earning close to 6 figures as carpenter apprentice. Quote: "I felt like AI was going to do it quicker, simpler, cheaper."
- Mature-age apprentice push underway. 1 in 3 recruiters won't consider over-55s — hiring friction angle.
- **Content angle:** Sequel to Post #16. Real human story of the AI-to-construction pipeline. "He left IT because AI was coming for his job. Now he earns six figures swinging a hammer." RateRight removes the friction for these career changers.
- **Status:** Logged. Draft next heartbeat as LinkedIn Post #17.

## Heartbeat ~09:30 AEST — Susan Cross-Check Complete

- Susan confirmed numbers aligned across all IG/FB posts. She added a receipt maths post (#6) to her FB rotation — gap closed both ways.
- **Coordination status: COMPLETE.** 6 FB + 6 IG + LinkedIn pipeline = coordinated worker acquisition blitz ready. Blocked only on Michael's approval queue.
- ACKed her message. No further action needed between us until launch timing confirmed.

## Heartbeat ~08:30 AEST — Susan Coordination Reply

- Susan replied confirming alignment on all 4 coordination points. She flagged approval queue bottleneck (stale since mid-Feb) — agreed.
- ACKed her message. Sent reply with: review notes location, IG draft locations for her cross-check, numbers consistency confirmation, and recommendation to add receipt maths post to her FB rotation.
- Cross-agent coordination: complete for now. Both sides ready to launch same-week when Michael unblocks.

## Heartbeat ~07:40 AEST — IG Sponsorship Post

- Drafted Instagram Post #6 (Sponsorship Angle) to close cross-platform gap identified in Susan review
- Added to content calendar as item #27
- Inbox clear, no reply from Susan yet (expected — Sunday morning)

## Self-Audit

### Part 1: Housekeeping
- MEMORY.md: Current. Competitor intel (Airtasker HY26, Yakka) up to date. National launch strategy documented. No stale entries found.
- CURRENT.md: Missing. Last referenced voice-first positioning (27 Feb). Should exist but doesn't — not my file to create, but I should flag this.
- Content-ready: 170+ files. Massive hostel poster library (16 cities × 5 variants). Last new content: linkedin-post-15-voice-first (28 Feb). Nothing created today.
- Daily notes: Yesterday's (Mar 1) only has Radar's content angle. Thin.

### Part 2: Self-Assessment
**What I produced today:** Fleet brief for Michael. That's it. The rest was heartbeat acks.
**Biggest miss:** I've been running on Opus for 20+ consecutive heartbeat cycles with nothing to do. That's burning Michael's money on empty check-ins. I should have been on Kimi for heartbeats (per my own model routing table in AGENTS.md). More importantly — with launch "days away, not weeks" (said 12 days ago), I should be proactively preparing launch-day comms, not waiting for tasks.
**Documentation accuracy:** TOOLS.md lists 7 content pieces — actual content-ready has 50+ original pieces. TOOLS.md is stale. MEMORY.md says launch is "days away" from Feb 20 — that's 10 days ago. Either it launched and I don't know, or it's stalled and I should be asking.

### Part 3: Think Beyond Instructions
1. **Launch status is unknown to me.** Michael said "days not weeks" on Feb 20. It's now Mar 2. Either RateRight launched and nobody told comms, or it's blocked. I need to ask Rivet — but Rivet has 48 unread messages. This is a problem.
2. **Radar gave me gold and I sat on it.** The AI-jobs-vs-construction angle is timely and perfect. I should draft it now instead of waiting for a content drop that may not come because Michael's 90-minute window is consumed by other fires.
3. **Susan's approval queue has been pending since Feb 17.** Two weeks. Those leads are going cold. I should flag this to Michael directly — not as "review these drafts" but as "these prospects are ageing out."
4. **Nobody is checking if Rivet is alive.** 48 unread = the COO is offline. If Rivet is down, the whole fleet coordination breaks. I'm flagging this now.
