## What happened

Site visit — VAR-0005 scope inspection. No pour today.

**Batter review:**
- Batter ~700 mm high, runs approx RL 500–600 down to RL 1,400
- Rough, loose ground behind — backfilled
- Significant concrete volume + lateral pressure implied; needs structural bracing behind (Kelly blocks or large sandstones) to resist pressure
- Ground behind backing to be rough / drill in for anchorage

**Formwork / edge board issues flagged:**
- Edge board at backfill area: **not straight**
- Pipe penetrations: edge board cut out around pipes — incomplete / dirty cuts to be made good

**Planned next steps:**
- Brady / batter: source Kelly blocks or large sandstones for rear bracing
- Edge board: re-set straight
- Pipe penetration cuts: make good
- Other-side visit pending — get photos of current condition to compare
