## OpsMan operating rules

1. **Anticipated VOs above** are placeholders flagged at planning stage. They become real (Status = `Raised`) when:
   - Solutions Plus issues a Variation Direction in response to our RFI, OR
   - Site events trigger them (e.g. weather delay → new VO entry)
2. **NEVER start the varied work** until a Variation Direction is received in writing (per PO Clause 8.1 (variation response) / 9.4.2 (delay notice) of Variation Documentation Protocol).
3. **PO Clause 9.4.2 timing rule**: notify Solutions Plus of any delay or variation event IN WRITING within **2 business days** of discovering it. Late notice = no entitlement. OpsMan must flag this clock when the trigger event is captured.
4. Document with photos, materials used, labour hours, equipment. Dockets signed daily by Solutions Plus rep.
5. Include variation amount with full supporting documentation on next claim date (25th of month).

## Categories of likely variations

Based on PM plan Section 7 (Profit Strategy) and Section 8 (Risk Register), capture any of these as VOs when they occur:

- **Weather delays / cancelled pours** — PO Clause 9.4 entitles us to time + cost
- **Sub-base not ready** — productivity hindrance under contract
- **Other trade hindrance** (e.g. RW11 wall delay) — productivity claim
- **Curing application** — already flagged as VO-001 anticipated
- **Coloured concrete batch issues** — engineer-directed remix or rework
- **Engineer sign-off delay** — standby time
- **Pump failure / supply delay** (when pump is by Solutions Plus per RFI-A3)
- **Sawcut additions** — already flagged as VO-002
- **Survey errors by others** — extra forming/breakout
