# Profit Margin Strategy — 01-2275 (LFCS INTERNAL — NOT FOR CLIENT)

> **All clause references in this register = clauses of the **PO** (`01 - Contracts and POs/01b - Purchase Orders/PO-S01-2275-011-Signed.pdf`).** Key timing rules: Clause 8.1 (variation response = 2 BD), Clause 9.4.2 (delay notice = 2 BD), Clause 9.4.4 (no notice ⇒ loss of EOT rights).

> **DO NOT share with Solutions Plus, subbies, or anyone outside LFCS.** This document captures the levers LFCS will use to maximise margin on this contract.

## Levers ranked by impact

| # | Lever | Impact | Owner / Action |
|---|---|---|---|
| **1** | **Productivity 160 → 180+ m²/day** | HIGH | Foreman tracks daily m². At 180 saves ~7 days; at 200 saves ~13 days. |
| **2** | **Curing as variation (VO-001)** | HIGH | Issue RFI-B3 before mobilisation. Do NOT apply cure products silently. |
| **3** | **Variation capture — weather + hindrance** | HIGH | Daily site diary + photos. Written notice within 24h of any hindering event. PO Clause 9.4 entitlement. |
| **4** | **Sawcuts add-on (VO-002)** | MED | PM to price and submit to Solutions Plus by **1 May 2026**. |
| **5** | **Front-load payment claims** | MED | PM to prepare PC-01 by 20 May. Submit max claimable. |
| **6** | **Formwork reuse 3-4 cycles** | MED | Foreman strips and stacks daily. Track location, recover daily. |
| **7** | **Confirm mesh vs bar (RFI-B6)** | MED | Mesh is faster than bar. If mesh is acceptable on slabs where bar was assumed → cost saving. |
| **8** | **No rework — quality discipline** | HIGH | Pre-pour checklist EVERY pour. Trial EA panel before main run. Verify levels with laser. |

## How OpsMan supports each lever

1. **Productivity tracking** → `Job-Tracker.md` daily productivity log. EOD summary calls out any pour day below 160 m² and flags the cause.
2. **Curing variation** → VO-001 sits in `08 - Variations/_REGISTER.md` as `Anticipated`. OpsMan reminds you to issue RFI-B3 before first cure application.
3. **Variation capture** → Every diary entry prompts "any hindrance/weather event today?" When yes, OpsMan auto-drafts the variation entry + draft notice email to Joel within the 2-business-day clock.
4. **Sawcut quote** → Calendar reminder for 1 May 2026 to submit sawcut quote.
5. **Front-load PC-01** → Calendar reminder 20 May 2026 to prepare PC-01.
6. **Formwork reuse** → Daily diary prompt "form ply stripped + stacked?" on cure-release days.
7. **Mesh vs bar** → RFI-B6 sits in `06b RFIs/_REGISTER.md`. Tracked as Pending until engineer confirms.
8. **No rework** → Pre-pour checklist enforced. OpsMan refuses to mark "ready for pour" unless: levels checked, mix confirmed, sub-base sign-off received from Solutions Plus that day.

## Risk-adjusted upside

If all 8 levers fire:

- **+10–15 days saved** on programme = direct labour saving
- **VO-001 + VO-002 approved** = additional revenue at cost+25% (curing) and BoQ rates (sawcuts)
- **Variation capture for ~5–10 weather/hindrance days** typical for a 24-week winter programme
- **Reduced rework risk** = avoided cost (failed EA panel = ~$5K-15K loss)

Combined upside potential: **5–10% over base contract margin**.
