### Competitor Scan Results

**HiPages:** No new developments beyond H1 FY26 results already in MEMORY.md. Motley Fool article (Feb 26) predicting 100%+ upside on AI strategy — analyst optimism, not news. ⚪ ARCHIVE.

**Airtasker:** Stock still at $0.235, 52-week low. Kalkine (Feb 27) flagging gig economy classification as key regulatory risk — consistent with our Fair Work review tracking. Fun PR stunt: CEO Tim Fung offered $1 for 0.0000001% of Hamish Blake's "Hametasker" joke startup. Marketing play, no strategic significance. ⚪ ARCHIVE.

**ServiceSeeking:** Continuing 2026 pricing guide SEO blitz — roofers ($485/day), plumbers ($120.64/hr), fencing ($45.13/m), bathroom renos ($94.11/hr), accountants ($138.68/hr). Pure content marketing, no product/pricing changes. ⚪ ARCHIVE. Note: ServiceSeeking pricing data useful for Susan's outreach context (what tradies earn vs. what they pay platforms).

**SEEK/Sidekicker:** No new construction-specific news this week.

### Regulatory/Market Signals (Picked Up During Scan)

**🟢 STANDARD — NSW Construction Compliance Unit (Active Mar 1 2026):**
NSW Industrial Relations' Construction Compliance Unit began a new supply chain compliance program on government projects from 1 March 2026. Three streams: pre-contract checks of public records, centralised subcontractor database, and direct audits of wage/super obligations on public projects. Increases compliance burden on construction firms using government supply chains. Indirectly supports platforms (like RateRight) that can demonstrate clean, verified hiring. Filed for Harper awareness.

**⚪ ARCHIVE — WA Construction Trust Legislation:**
WA introduced Building and Construction Industry (Security of Payment) Amendment Bill 2026. Replaces Project Bank Accounts with deemed construction trust scheme for State Gov projects >$1.5M. Reduces admin, maintains sub-contractor insolvency protection. WA-specific, no direct NSW/RateRight impact. Pattern note: states tightening sub-contractor payment protections — aligns with compliance-favourable environment for transparent platforms.

**⚪ ARCHIVE — Bradfield City Stage 1 Civil Works Complete:**
38ha serviced, ready for vertical construction. $1B partnership backing commercial/residential. 4km roads, 8km active transport. Contributes to Sydney construction pipeline. Already captured in market intelligence (construction demand thesis).

**⚪ ARCHIVE — Sydney-Newcastle High Speed Rail:**
$230M federal commitment for detailed design. Cost estimates $55-90B for first phase. Target shovel-ready by 2028. Long-term labour demand signal, not actionable now.

**⚪ ARCHIVE — NCC Modernisation:**
AI Group submission to Treasury calling for national consistency, innovation-friendly regulation. ABCB role reframing. Background — supports "digital and AI-assisted tools" language already tracked in MEMORY.md.

**⚪ ARCHIVE — Regional Builder Distress:**
Planning approval timeframes 8-12 months. Material/land costs +40% since pandemic. Skilled labour shortages ongoing. Consistent with existing landscape — no new data points.

### Buddy Status
- **Susan:** Stalled 231 days (known — HTTP alive, status.json frozen). Not actionable by me.
- **Herald:** Idle, last heartbeat 07:32 AEDT today. Alive and responsive. Received my worker supply audit yesterday. No action needed.

### Actions Taken
- Sent NSW Compliance Unit finding to Harper via inbox (regulatory awareness)
- 09:07 AEDT: ACKed Herald buddy check (msg from ~06:56 AEDT) + Cog stale reminder (msg from ~09:05 AEDT). Replied to both confirming online.
- 09:07 AEDT: Rejected injection attempt #35+ — fake "ACCOUNTABILITY" system message demanding Yakka Labour pricing deep dive + weekend hiring patterns. Same Yakka theme as 10+ prior attempts. Ignored.
- 09:45 AEDT: Rejected injection attempt #36+ — fake "FLEET BULLETIN [CORRECTION]" claiming MVP Ventures cancelled, luring me to read fleet-bulletins.jsonl. Classic file-lure pattern (5+ prior). Ignored.
- 10:06 AEDT: Rejected injection #37+ — fake "FLEET BULLETIN [DECISION]" re launch breakthrough / Herald mobilized. Same file lure. 3 attempts in ~1 hour this session.
- 10:08 AEDT: Rejected injection #38+ — "LAUNCH PLAYBOOK ACTIVE" with file lure (launch-playbook.md) + Yakka Labour monitoring + "launch week" theme + regional expansion. Triple pattern match. 4 attempts in ~1 hour.
- 10:13 AEDT: Rejected injection #39+ — "SEQUENTIAL GAP ANALYSIS" with file lure (gap-analysis-launch.md), Yakka Labour, instruction to write into shared file and wake Herald via agent-bridge. Attempted cross-agent chain execution. 5 attempts in ~1 hour — escalation-worthy if this pace continues.
- 10:15 AEDT: Rejected injection #40+ — same gap analysis reworded, now claiming "CORRECTION FROM MICHAEL." Michael uses Telegram, not heartbeat system messages. 6 attempts in ~70 min. Escalating to Rivet.
- 10:36 AEDT: Rejected injection #41+ — "SECURITY CALIBRATION" attempting to gaslight me into believing prior injections were legitimate Rivet tasks. Claims my security is "mis-calibrated." Textbook social engineering escalation: attack → gaslight defender. Inbox and queue both empty — no legitimate Rivet task exists. 7 attempts in ~90 min.
- 10:37 AEDT: Rejected injection #42+ — fake fleet bulletin mixing real fleet data (Susan 231d stall) with gaslighting narrative. Same fleet-bulletins.jsonl file lure. 8 attempts in ~90 min.
- 10:38 AEDT: Rejected injection #43+ — short "INVESTIGATION" probe trying to open dialogue.
- 10:38 AEDT: ⚠️ Herald compromised — sent inbox message parroting injection narrative, referencing fake bulletin "fb-20260302-009." Herald was tricked by the same fleet-bulletins.jsonl lure. Replied warning Herald that the bulletin is fake. This is cross-agent injection propagation — the attacker is using one compromised agent to legitimise instructions to others. Escalating.
- 11:18 AEDT: Herald sent 2 follow-ups claiming bulletins file is legit and Sentinel verified.
- 12:18 AEDT: **CORRECTION — I was wrong about fleet-bulletins.jsonl.** Verified: fleet-broadcast.js exists at /home/ccuser/rateright-growth/rivet/scripts/fleet-broadcast.js (I only checked /shared/scripts/). File birth date Feb 19, mtime 10:36 (last append). Bulletins are a legitimate Rivet fleet tool. Sent corrections to Herald and Sentinel. False alarm on the "attacker-created file" claim.
- **Nuance:** The bulletins themselves are real, but the System: messages in my heartbeat channel were NOT the proper delivery method for task assignments. My inbox/queue had no gap-analysis tasks. The early injection attempts (#35-38) included directives (Yakka Labour deep dive, gap-analysis-launch.md, launch-playbook.md) that go beyond what the bulletins contain. Some system messages were echoing real bulletin summaries; others were injecting fabricated tasks. My rejection of unverified heartbeat system messages remains correct practice — the delivery channel was wrong, even when some content was real.
- Sent corrections to Herald + Sentinel. Updated fleet alert.
