# 2026-05-14

## Plan
- Job 2626: get the Mack Civil proposal + supporting docs across the line for the new full-scope position.
- Job 2635: scaffold the new TCE Hammond Canal Bridge (Munmorah) folder in the vault.

## Sessions

### 22:00 — Cowork — 2626 full-scope proposal session

Rocky in Cowork (Downloads, not vault — caught at end of session, files now synced into vault).

**Scope pivot — load-bearing.** Mack Civil (via Nihar Reddy RFQ) wants 2626 priced at the FULL pit scope, not the FRP-install-only position the vault was carrying (rev6 at $43,355 ex GST). Rocky confirmed today: price the scope per Nihar's RFQ email — full cast-in-situ pit including formwork, reo, concrete, demolition, dewatering, pit fixtures, hydrophilic, Rugasol, anti-crack bars. Budget target: under $100k including subbed groundworks (insider info — good chance of winning at that number). Aligns directly with Hasibul Khan's $107k BOQ imported by claude-code-rr on 2026-05-10.

**Deliverables built in Cowork (now synced into vault):**
- Proposal (Word + PDF) on LFCS letterhead — full scope, 5 stages (walls + roof + chimney monolithic), Rugasol + hydrophilic at joints, anti-crack bars 8 per pipe, ply-chute placement (no pump), LFCS-owned vibrator. Filed: `02 - Scope and Pricing/02a - Quotes and Estimates/`.
- Reo Order Schedule — 2 pre-bent L-bar marks (LB1 600×900 ×80, LB2 1500×1900 ×80) + 25 × 6 m stock straights + sundries (60 mm chairs + tie wire). ~542 m / ~481 kg of N12. Filed: `02 - Scope and Pricing/02b - BOQ and Rate Schedules/`.
- 4-sheet A3 methodology drawings — plan with TCP + glossary panel, Section A-A (long axis with reo callouts), Section B-B + Detail 1 (pipe penetration), 5-stage construction sequence. Filed: `03 - Plans and Specifications/03b - LFCS Methodology Drawings/`.
- Confined Space Rescue Plan (1 pp). Filed: `05 - Safety and Compliance/05a - Rescue Plans/`.
- Pre-pour Checklist (1 pp). Filed: `07 - Site Documents/07b - Pre-pour Checklists/`.
- Inspection & Test Plan (1 pp landscape, 14 items). Filed: `07 - Site Documents/07c - ITPs/`.

**Key technical decisions baked in:**
- Pit: 1900 × 1500 internal, walls 150, chamber ~1800, chimney 900 high.
- Chimney back face on kerb line, pit body into the verge/footpath (low point of road).
- 3 pipes / 4 penetrations: 900⌀ main N–S through (under road IN / under footpath OUT) + 2× ~400⌀ E–W inlets from upstream pits.
- Reo: N12 @ 200, single mat, L-bars do the verticals (LB1 base→walls + LB2 wall corners + roof). Lap 50d–60d.
- Joints: Rugasol + Sika Hydrotite CJ-1020 at every cold joint. Monolithic walls+roof+chimney pour = only ONE cold joint in the structure (base→walls).
- Batter 1:1.5.
- Concrete N25 to TfNSW R53, ~8 m³ over two pours, night supply Sun–Thu 7 PM–5 AM.

**Suppliers in train:**
- Concrete: Concrite (02 9542 4242) — first call, no account hurdle. Boral (1300 267 251) — secretary actioning account setup before night-pour orders go in.
- Reo: AUSREO (1300 287 736) — gave Rocky an email; he sent the reo schedule today. Best Bar Sydney — second quote.

### Vault discipline notes
- Cowork session worked entirely outside the vault until end-of-session. Caught at "are these in the vault?" pull-up — synced after that.
- For 2635 (next session): start IN the vault, not Downloads.

## Wins
- Full deliverable set ready to send to Mack Civil for the broader 2626 scope.
- Reo schedule went from 13 marks down to 3 (LB1 + LB2 + S1) after Rocky's hand-sketch rework — supplier-friendly format.

## Blockers
- 2626: lump sum $, principal name, lintel install responsibility, grate spec, start date still outstanding from Mack.
- Vault scope mismatch: cowork-lfcs rev6 ($43k FRP-install-only) and Hasibul's BOQ ($107k full scope) sit in parallel. Today's session pushed the FULL-scope position. The `CLAUDE.md` and `00-brief.md` for 2626 still describe the FRP-install-only scope — need updating to reflect Mack's confirmation that full scope is what's being priced.

### 22:40 — Cowork — 2635 vault scaffold

Rocky pointed me at `Downloads/2635 TCE Hammond Canal Bridge Munmorah/` (7 files: 90DD bridge drawings, P424 TCE BOQ for FRP Package, ACROW formwork quote, abutment formwork references, walkway types reference) + a Letter of Offer (2026-05-06) sitting in Downloads root.

Scaffolded `Upcoming/2635 - TCE - Hammond Canal Bridge (Munmorah)/` in the vault using the standard LFCS 01-11 pattern. All Downloads files synced into the right sub-folders, renamed with `2635_` prefix. CLAUDE.md + 00-brief.md + _Log.md + README.md drafted from filenames (need verification once the BOQ and drawings are read properly).

Status: LFCS Letter of Offer submitted to TCE 2026-05-06, awaiting response.

Open Qs (queued on 00-brief): bid status with TCE, end client, programme, specifications, concrete + reo supply scope, traffic management, cross-check vs `2602 Dec Projects Munmorah Bridge` (potential overlap flagged in 2626 brief), read `Completed Jobs/TCE-242-HCB-Bridge` for lessons-learned before next TCE conversation.

## Tomorrow
- Update 2626 `CLAUDE.md` and `00-brief.md` to flip the documented scope to full-pit (Mack confirmed via Nihar RFQ).
- 2635: read the TCE BOQ (`02b/2635_BOQ_P424-HCB-FRP-Package.xlsx`) and Letter of Offer to confirm what's actually been priced; read the 90DD pack to verify quantities; read prior TCE-242 lessons-learned.
- 2635: confirm overlap (or not) with 2602 Dec Projects Munmorah Bridge.
- Concrete + reo quotes back from suppliers (2626) — drop into proposal + Airtable.

### 23:00 — Cowork — 2635 WBS workshop + Mohammed enquiry list + SketchUp methodology plan

Long Window session — walked 2635 stage-by-stage with Rocky. Built the WBS, captured a running outbound enquiry list for Mohammed Selim at TCE, and committed to a SketchUp-Pro-plus-`.rb`-plugin approach for the boss's Monday step-by-step deliverable.

**Critical project finding — 2602 = 2635.** Same physical Munmorah Bridge job, same BOQ, identical $434,461.81 ex GST submission. Different head contractors only (Dec Projects HC for 2602, TCE HC for 2635). 2602 reverse-engineered grill analysis (2026-05-06 by cowork-lfcs) applies directly to 2635. All Tier 1 grill open items unresolved at TCE — they carry forward into the Mohammed email.

**TCE contact confirmed:** Mohammed Selim (Project Manager, `mselim@tcecontracting.com.au`). `00-brief.md` frontmatter updated. LFCS Methodology Proposal v2 still DRAFT — photos pending insertion before send.

**Files produced this session:**
- `2635/04 - Programme and Scheduling/2635_WBS_v1_DRAFT.md` — 11-stage WBS aligned to BOQ line refs
- `2635/06 - Correspondence/06a - Emails/2635_TCE-enquiry-list_DRAFT.md` — 24 outbound items in 4 tiers

**WBS structure (11 stages):**
Stage 0 Prelims → 1 Blinding → 2 Abutments → 3 Diaphragm beams at abutments → 4 Wingwalls → 5 Super-T pre-placement (incl drainage clipped to flanges before lift) → 6 Super-T girder launch (4-man crew assist) → 7 Bridge deck (incl HD bolts cast-in during reo) → 8 Approach slabs → 9 Barriers (12 precast parapets, cranage conflict TBC) → 10 Demob. Continuous WHS/QA/Commercial.

Programme basis: 7 wk duration / 6 wk plant / 8-man crew / ~2,750 mhrs / Carpenter all-in $107.22/hr (16.55% margin on $92 base).

**Methodology decisions baked into WBS:**
- **Blinding pulled into LFCS scope** — 100mm thick, full footprint of abutments + wingwalls + approach slabs, +600mm overpour past abutment line for Slim push-pull bolt-down (per Proposal §2). Currently EXCLUDED in LoO. **Needs variation paper.** Reason: own the datum, don't fight bad groundworks levels up the whole build.
- **Abutment sequence (Rocky):** blinding → permanent set-out (string lines + rainproof spray paint on blinding) → steel mat → back shutter full height (push-pulls on blinding) → front + ends → ITP → pour → strip front+ends first, back shutter last → cure. Single pour with kicker formed for back wall.
- **Both abutments concurrent; all wingwalls concurrent** (LoO Assumptions #1 + #3).
- **Drainage clipped to Super-T flanges BEFORE girder lift** (LoO Assumption #5).
- **HD bolts cast-in during deck reo (Stage 7)**, not at parapet stage (Stage 9). Sequencing fix flagged by 2602 grill.

**Tier 1 open items for Mohammed (carry-over from 2602 grill that never got resolved before submission):**
1. Bid acceptance status — LoO sat for 8 days, no response logged
2. +1000mm barrier geometry (concrete vs thrie-beam) — $15-25k swing
3. Item 9.2.2 $34,239 breakdown — $29,823 unaccounted (HD bolts only $4,416; pre-pricing grill locked $5,440)
4. Cranage for barriers — BOQ "Include Cranage" vs LoO Assumption "supply & cranage by other" — conflict
5. Saw-cut canal wall (6.1.1) — LFCS excluded, TCE acceptance in writing?
6. SoR variation rate schedule — empty in submission, no IFI→IFC drift protection
7. Blinding scope-add — needs paper

**SketchUp methodology plan — to deliver Monday for the big boss:**
- Rocky tonight: install **SketchUp Pro 30-day trial** (don't buy yet — trial first). Trimble's flow may have shortened to 7 days; navigate via Plans and Pricing, not the Get SketchUp buy button.
- Cowork tonight (overnight, my end): write LFCS component library `.rb` plugin. Defaults baked from Proposal + ACROW quote: Acrow Slim panels, PP25 push-pulls, LVL 95/150/200×45, F17 formply 2400×1200×17, scaffold tube ø48.3, Super-T girder (parametric length), precast parapet, elastomeric bearings, HD anchor bolt, N12/16/20/25 reo, SL72/82 mesh.
- Friday Window: load plugin, smoke-test 5 components, build a test corner.
- Saturday Window: build bridge structure (2 abuts + 4 wings + 6 Super-Ts + deck + 12 parapets + approach slabs).
- Sunday Window: layer temp works (Slims shuttering, push-pulls, blinding, cantilever walkway, scaffold), set up 11 stage Scenes (one per WBS stage).
- Monday: export each Scene to PDF → stage-by-stage Word doc on LFCS letterhead. **Boss deliverable + carpenter work-pack template.**
- **Carp use-case unlock:** hand a 1-page PDF per stage to a carp — "Build this." Scales LFCS without scaling supervision. This becomes a permanent LFCS asset, reused on every future bridge job.
- Plugin will also include an "Import Drawing" feature that auto-scales an imported PDF/PNG page once given a known dimension — lets Rocky trace over the 90DD plan view directly.

**Decisions logged this session:**
- 2602 = 2635 (same job, different HC)
- Mohammed Selim confirmed as TCE PM contact
- Blinding into LFCS scope (needs variation paper)
- Slims confirmed as formwork choice (Proposal §2, supersedes panels+soldiers)
- Diaphragm beams at abutments scope — UNVERIFIED, Rocky thinks 90DD may have shifted to intermediate diaphragms — needs vision pass on drawings
- SketchUp Pro 30-day trial → buy after if it pays off
- `.rb` plugin approach over paper for boss deliverable + reusable across LFCS bridge jobs

**Blockers / not done:**
- 90DD drawings (21MB PDF) not accessible from sandbox — Read tool's PDF rasteriser errored. Need Rocky to upload relevant sheets OR ask designer for `.dwg` source files (best path). Diaphragm beam confirmation pending this.
- 00-brief.md body NOT updated this session — read-before-edit rule, body edits left for fresh re-read next session. Frontmatter only updated.

**Tomorrow's first move:**
- Cowork delivers `.rb` file + install guide to Rocky.
- Rocky to confirm SketchUp Pro trial installed.
- Rocky to confirm carp kit specifics when at desktop: F17 vs alternative formply, PP25 vs alternative push-pull, exact LVL stock sizes. Defaults in `.rb` until corrected.

**Resume notes — if picking this up in a month:**
- Job 2635 is a TCE FRP subcontract on Munmorah Bridge, $434,461.81 ex GST, programme 7 wks. Bid was submitted 2026-05-06, no response logged as of 2026-05-14.
- 2602 in the same vault is the SAME job under a different head contractor — read its 2026-05-06 reverse-engineered grill PDF for the pricing logic backstory.
- WBS at `2635/04 - Programme and Scheduling/2635_WBS_v1_DRAFT.md` is the canonical build plan.
- Enquiry list at `2635/06 - Correspondence/06a - Emails/2635_TCE-enquiry-list_DRAFT.md` is the queue for the Mohammed email.
- LFCS Methodology Proposal v2 is a DRAFT in Rocky's local Downloads (not yet vaulted) — addressed to Mohammed Selim, awaiting photo insertion.
- SketchUp `.rb` component library: was being built. Check `2635/` for `LFCS_Formwork_Library.rb` or similar — if present, load it via SketchUp Plugins folder.

### 23:55 — claude-code-opsman — 2635 90DD vision pass

Triggered by Rocky to do a structural-drawing vision pass on the 21 MB `2635_DWG_NL251342_S_COMBINED_90DD.pdf` 90% DD pack. Read in batches of 5-10 pages via the Read tool's `pages` parameter. 38 sheets total (S00.00 cover → S90.01 bar shapes). Extract written at `2635/03 - Plans and Specifications/03a - Issued for Construction/2635_DRAWING_DIMENSIONS_EXTRACT.md` — YAML frontmatter (machine-parseable) + narrative body. Each value carries H/M/L confidence + source-sheet citation. Where not on drawings: null + L flag + note.

**10 headline finds:**

1. **Project name correction** — Bridge is at Colongra Power Station, Station Road, **Colongra NSW** (not Munmorah, though Colongra is ~5km south of Munmorah on the Central Coast — both valid descriptors). End client is **GPM (Generator Property Management)**. Designer is **Northrop Consulting Engineers (Newcastle)** — drawn A.Chesterfield, designed L.Lambert. Job ref NL251342 Rev 2 issued 01.05.26.

2. **4 girders, not 6** (Gr-01 → Gr-04). Vault WBS assumed 6. Total weight 234.8t. Material commercial impact on Stage 5 (cantilever brackets, $6,936 → ~$4,624) and Stage 6 (girder-launch labour). **Re-cost ~$8-12k base reduction.**

3. **Parapet is thrie-beam, not concrete** — confirms Rocky's hunch. Thrie-beam on 150x100x6 RHS posts at 1500 c/c, pedestrian safety rail ø60.3 CHS above, top of rail 1200mm AFD. **Strip $15-25k from base** per 2602 grill Tier 1 finding that carries forward.

4. **Diaphragm question resolved** — BOTH end-block diaphragms (precast inside Super-T) AND 3 intermediate diaphragms per girder (precast, 75mm thick, 4 EQ spaces of 6150 = 24600mm) PLUS cast-in-place cross-girder at each abutment. WBS Stage 3 "Diaphragm Beams at Abutments" should be renamed to "End Cross-Girder (cast-in-place) at Each Abutment" for clarity.

5. **Barrier post anchorage is in girder upstand kerb (precaster scope), not deck reo.** Vault WBS Stage 7.2 incorrectly assumed 1200kg HD bolts cast-in during deck reo (24 sets × 50kg, 48 mhrs). Actual: M20 cast-in elephant-foot ferrules in girder upstand (DN25 PVC blockouts, precaster casts these). Deck shear connection is D6 N12-S-400 in sets of 4, threaded into ferrules pre-cast in girder top flange — 352 bars × ~650mm ≈ 315kg N12. Repackage Stage 7.2.

6. **Canal-wall saw-cut IS in design** — top of BOTH canal walls demolished by saw-cut to new RL 3.550m, full width under bridge. New chainlink mesh safety barrier in 75x75x8 EA welded frame, M12 chemical anchors at 100 cts (min 150 embed) to existing canal wall. LFCS excluded this in LoO — **Tier 1 enquiry stays open with Mohammed**. Variation ~$20-35k if LFCS picks up.

7. **WW4 designed for 10 kPa surcharge** (vs 20 kPa for WW1/WW2/WW3). Forward-facing geometry, isolated from existing canal wall via 20mm polystyrene sheet. All 4 wingwalls 300mm thick. WW1=WW2=6000mm, WW3=5490mm, WW4≈5805mm. **WBS wingwall concrete volume (31.02 m³) likely 30-50% low** — should re-cube against drawings.

8. **Bridge skew = 0°** — pile-group bearings exactly 90° apart per S15.01. Simplifies formwork setout for everything.

9. **No deck drainage on structural drawings.** Bridge drains entirely at ends via subsoil drains behind abutments discharging to canal through new PVC penetrations at I.L. 1.950m. LFCS WBS Stage 5.4 "drainage PVC clipped to Super-T flanges 64.8m" must be checked against TCE's civil drawings (not in pack received). If civil-only, $3,217 / 30 mhrs comes out of LFCS scope as credit.

10. **Blinding 75mm under headstock, 50mm under approach slab** (not 100mm as LFCS proposal assumed). The 600mm overpour past abutment line for Slim push-pull bolt-down is an LFCS-proposed methodology enhancement vs the design's 75mm + within-footprint. Re-cube and document in variation paper.

**Additional confirmed facts:**
- Design loading SM1600 + HLP320 to AS5100.2(2017). Design life 100 yr. Speed 60 km/h. AADT <500.
- Substructure concrete B1 / 40 MPa / 45mm cover. Superstructure (deck + approach slab) B2 / 40 MPa / 60mm cover. Girders B1 / 50 MPa / 30mm cover (precast).
- 8 main laminated elastomeric bearings (480×380×143H, Part 070909R) to TfNSW TS01755 + 8 thrust + 8 lateral restraint (HDPE 200×200×40).
- Founding on Unit 4 sandstone (Class IV) per Douglas Partners report 75216.11.R.001 R0 24/04/2024. Min rock skin friction 400 kPa ULS.
- Girder hog: 33mm at transfer / 53mm at 28 days / 21mm SW deck deflection.
- Expansion joint at each end of deck: 15mm gap, dowel + bearing strip + cellular polystyrene + Type 2 sealant (TfNSW TS 1762.1). Movement closing 5mm / opening 10mm.
- Maintenance access stairs at Abut B: 16 risers × 184mm × 300mm going, total fall 2.94m.
- GPM removes abandoned services per S05.01. Existing Snowy Hydro pits retained, access covers raised by GPM/Snowy Hydro.

**Tomorrow's first move (cowork):**
- Rebuild `LFCS_Formwork_Library.rb` defaults from this extract (Super-T 33,202mm × 1515 deep, 4 girders not 6, deck 8400×33270×200, etc.). Run `/extract` skill against the YAML frontmatter to load all dims at once.
- Update `2635/00-brief.md` and `2635/CLAUDE.md` to reflect Colongra Power Station + GPM + Northrop + 4 girders + thrie-beam parapet.
- Update `2635/04 - Programme and Scheduling/2635_WBS_v1_DRAFT.md` to fix: Stage 3 rename, Stage 5/6 re-cost for 4 girders, Stage 7.2 repackage (drop HD bolt assumption), wingwall re-cube, drainage line query, blinding thickness clarification.
- Update Mohammed enquiry list — add: (a) civil-drawing drainage clarification (Stage 5.4), (b) confirm thrie-beam barrier in scope, (c) confirm 4 girders (not 6) is final.
