# Weekly AI Trends Scan
**Date:** April 5th, 2026

- **Clawdbot:** Installed version is `2026.3.13`. Latest release is `2026.4.2`. **CRITICAL UPDATE NEEDED.** The new version includes major task flow updates, Plugin SDK deprecations, and crucially, changes Exec defaults to YOLO mode (`security=full` with `ask=off`), alongside tighter gateway auth (trusted-proxy rejecting mixed tokens).
- **Anthropic/Claude:** Claude Code is up to `v2.1.91`. Recent drops include MCP tool result persistence, advanced shell execution controls, interactive "PowerUp mode", and a major "Remote Control" feature that lets it run headlessly on servers/CI via API/webhooks.
- **Agent Trends:** Full autonomy is the defining trend of 2026. The focus has shifted from single-task assistants to always-on agents handling complete workflows, self-correcting, and collaborating in multi-agent orchestration setups (validating our exact OpsMan architecture). Anthropic's experimental "Conway" is a notable always-on background system.
- **Construction Tech:** "QuoteMate" is gaining traction among Australian tradies. It uses AI to translate plain English job descriptions into structured quotes with real-time Bunnings material pricing and GST calculations. Shows a strong appetite for zero-admin mobile tools in the local trades sector.
- **Action Items:**
  1. Upgrade Clawdbot to `2026.4.2` to secure the new gateway auth and exec default changes.
  2. Explore Claude Code's "Remote Control" (headless mode) for Builder—this could make our gateway-to-gateway bridge even more reliable.
  3. Review QuoteMate's UX for OpsMan inspiration, specifically their plain-English-to-materials pipeline.
