# Review: Susan's Launch Announcement Drafts
**Date:** 2026-02-23 | **Source:** `/home/ccuser/susan/drafts/launch-announcements-2026-02-23.md`

## Overall Verdict: ✅ SOLID — minor tweaks suggested

Susan's nailed the tone on these. Direct, no corporate fluff, $50 value prop front and centre. They pass the Michael Test with a couple of small flags.

## SMS Drafts

### What's Working
- **"G'day"** opener on all — ✅ Australian, natural
- **$50 flat per hire** — clear, consistent across all 7
- **"No percentages"** — good contrast to agency model
- **Personalised where possible** (Joseph, Roni, Marcus by first name) — ✅
- **Short enough for SMS** — most under 160 chars or close
- **CTA is soft** — "Worth a look?" not pushy — suits launch

### Flags

1. **"Susan from RateRight"** — these are going from Susan. Fine for warm leads she's already spoken with. But for Southwest Construction (the HOT lead), Michael may want to sign off as himself since they haven't spoken to Susan before. **Suggest:** Michael decides who signs which messages.

2. **"AI matches you"** — appears in most drafts. Slightly techy for tradies who just want workers. Consider swapping one or two to **"we match you"** — less buzzwordy. Not a dealbreaker though.

3. **SMS #1 (Southwest)** is longer than the rest — 3 sentences vs 2. Could trim: remove "You post a job in 60 seconds" since the CTA already sends them to the site. But again, minor.

4. **No urgency lever** — these are "we're live, have a look." That's appropriate for launch. Susan could follow up in a week with something sharper if no response. Not a problem now.

### Trade-specific accuracy
- Southwest: formworkers, concreters, labourers ✅ (matches their hiring)
- Atlas: formworkers ✅
- AMA: formwork ✅
- Opal: formworkers ✅
- Infinity: formworkers and labourers ✅
- BKH: formwork or concreting ✅
- Creative Concrete: concreters, formworkers, steel fixers ✅

All match what we know about these leads. Susan's done her homework.

## Email Draft

### What's Working
- Clean 3-step structure — easy to scan
- **"Enter your ABN — AI builds your company profile automatically"** — strong. Shows it's fast.
- **"No subscriptions. No percentages. No lock-in."** — ✅ punchy triple
- **"Workers are always free"** — good line, differentiator

### Flags

1. **"Hi [Name]"** — fine as template, but each send should be personalised obviously
2. **Subject line** — "RateRight is live — $50 to hire a rated [trade]" — good, specific. The [trade] placeholder needs filling per recipient.
3. **Closing** — Phone number included (0468 087 171). Michael should confirm this is the right number to put on launch comms.

## Recommendation for Michael

These are ready to go pending your approval. Two decisions needed:
1. **Who signs the Southwest SMS?** Susan or you? They're the hottest lead.
2. **Phone number** on the email — confirm 0468 087 171 is correct for launch comms.

Everything else passes the Michael Test. Send 'em.
